Selena, Selena, Selena…yesterday’s Selena car show hosted by the Viejitos Car Club wrapped up nearly a month long celebration and commemoration of the beloved singers life. There was dozens of pieces of art of Selena hanging throughout the CHAC Gallery on 7th & Santa Fe. A candle light vigil, recepitons, a look alike contest, various performances and more..

Selena Lives! on in the hearts and memories of Denver’s Chicano Community. CHAC Art Gallery at 7th & Santa Fe Drive was filled with people celebrating the opening of the opening of the Selena art exhibit.
A candle light vigil commemorated the 20th anniversary of the music icons death along with a blessing by the Aztec dance troupe, Grupo Tlaloc, a special poem by Dr. Ramon del Castillo and the great voice of Veronica Gallegos Missvero who sang Selena classics. Latin Life Denver is a proud media sponsor for all the Selena events in Denver.
This First Friday, April 3rd, the celebration continues with Los Latineerz performing at CHAC as part of the month long festivities honoring the life of Selena.
