It Runs In The Family, 30th Annual El Grito Community 5K Race/Walk Makes A Successful Comeback

It had been five long years since the El Grito Community 5K Race & Walk had been held in Denver’s Westside. Covid put a stop to that and a lot more in 2020. People stopped gathering for social and community functions and El Grito was no exception.


Celebrate the Rhythms of Latin America: Ninth Annual Latin Beats Highlights Afro-Mexican Heritage, Free Admission!

The Mexican Cultural Center and the Colorado Symphony are excited to present the ninth edition of Latin Beats: Sonidos de las Américas on Thursday, September 25, at 7:00 p.m. at Boettcher Concert Hall. This free concert, a signature event of Denver’s Hispanic Heritage Month, brings the community together for an evening of music and dance inspired by the rich traditions of Latin America. This year’s program shines a spotlight on Afro-Mexican culture and rhythms.


It’s Back! El Grito 5k Community Fun Run/Walk, Celebrating 30 Years, Sept. 14, MSU Campus

After a few years of absence the El Grito community fun run/walk is back and better than ever. This year’s event and course has moved from its traditional starting point at the Buckhorn Exchange restaurant at 10th & Osage to the Auraria campus in Downtown Denver. The new course will take participants through the original and now historic Auraria westside neighborhood. Entry is $30 and includes a commemorative T-shirt, breakfast burritos, beer and tons of fun.

Spaniard Joan Cross AMA Supercross Superstar In Denver Saturday May 4th, Empower Field

The world’s best two-wheel racers converge on Empower Field At Mile High for one night of non-stop action on May4, 2024.  The indoor and outdoor seasons of the SuperMotocross World Championship series consist of 17 Supercross races and 11 Pro Motocross races, providing 28 rounds of racing building towards the 2024 SuperMotocross Playoffs and World Championship Final.
