It was an evening to celebrate. To celebrate people with an idea, a dream, a passion. People who despite financial, cultural and educational obstacles still found a way to make their dream a reality. Thanks to the La Receta program offered by the Mi Casa Resource Center several up and coming food entrepreneurs are now marketing their businesses.
While dozens of supporters milled about Denver’s Raices Brewery August 22, 2024 sampling a variety of delicious delicacies from eight different food entrepreneurs, they were also there to support and celebrate these culinary graduates. Participants included Fritay’s Haitian Cuisine, (fritayfood.com), Prietos’s Catering (prietoscatering.com) Santa’s Cakes (303.618.6425) Osamai Sweets (303.210.8415), Tullpa (720-203.4137) Siva Cafe (720.839.3912) Orinoco Cuisine & Art and Loma Bonita.
Talking about the La Receta program and other economic opportunities offered by Mi Casa, the evenings program brochure stated, “The Mi Casa Women’s Business Center supports entrepreneurs through all stages of business development with 1-on-1 consulting, in-depth Business Trainings, and various business-related workshops and webinars. La Receta program equips food entrepreneurs with the skill to launch and grow their business building solid foundations for long-term success”. In 2023 Mi Casa more than 40 entrepreneurial graduates.
