Former Colorado Rockies Hispanic Leadership Award Winners, nominees and many other influencers in the Colorado Hispanic Community gathered for an evening networking, baseball, food & fun. The event was held July 22nd in the owner’s box of Coors Field (best seats in the house!). Participants were treated to an array of food and drink followed by a very entertaining Rockies / Pirates game which the Rockies won 6-2.
The event was held to encourage the nomination of other Hispanic leaders who go above and beyond in the community to make Colorado a better place for everyone.
Nominees are currently being sought for the 15 Annual Leadership Award. Finalists are honored with a pre-game ceremony before a Rockies game in September. After which they are invited to a suite to the game with past finalists and award winners. They also receive 2018 Rockies season tickets. The winner will have their name engraved on a plaque at Coors Field.
Abby Thayer, Communications Specialist and Spanish Language Translator for the Colorado Rockies told Latin Life Denver the Rockies have several very exciting events geared towards engaging the Hispanic community with the Colorado Rockies community outreach activities.
Romaine Pacheco, a former finalist for the award, said the Colorado Rockies organization has been an outstanding supporter of the Hispanic community. “They have done so much for our community not only with the Adult Leadership Award but with monetary and promotional support of Hispanic events and organizations. They are always there for us”, she added.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 Adult Leadership Award
