The Empower Exchange event was produced in conjunction with parallel Artistic Productions and ZeroPoint Om Productions as a networking initiative to allow women entrepreneurs of all nationalities a forum in which to exchange goods and services as well as build community to inspire and support one another and thus allowing them break down barriers and to take their businesses to the next level.
The event featured a benefit show the included artists, airiel performers, spoken word poetry , dance performers, music and poetry “This is a celebration of womanhood to uplift and guide women in their personal journey” said Xitlali.
Among the women entrepreneurs taking part were Maricruz from Herbal Life offering various health products as well as exercise programs. Sherry Delaney was there to promote her business “Celebrating Women’s Health”
Crucial resources included Sherry Delaney Celebrating Womens Health Founder and Director on the African American Breast cancer Council for Susan G. Komen on the Inner City Health Center Board of directors, Chaplin for National Council of Negro Women.
Also Sandra Robinson from organizations like The Robinson Abused Women and Children Shelter Inc.
Performers and speakers included spoken-word artist and visionary Doe Renee, Amara Martin – Executive Director of Dress for Success Denver, Jana Smith – Creator of Denver Unique Week of Fashion and live Musician Zay Alejandro Camara Rios as well as Mila Popovich and Ifiok Fetuk.
Event host, international performer and fashion designer, Xitlali also showcased her students performance. Women leaders from different genres attended the event offering their support. The evening ended with a raffle for a variety of services to the attendees.
Amara Martin – Executive Director of Dress for Success Denver from Dress for Success told the audience of the more than 13,000 women her organization has helped toward obtaining careers that can sustain them and their families. ” We help them by providing professional attire, career tools and a network of support through six programs”.
